The World Economic Development Organization (WEDO) was established by the First Provisional World Parliament through the adoption of the World Legislative Act #2.
Board of Directors of the WEDO:
WEDO is headed by a Board of Directors consisting of following 33 members:
- 6 Members of the Board are elected by the Provisional World Parliament, or World Parliament for terms of 5 years.
- Up to 21 Members of the Board (to be called "subscriber members") are designated by the first 21 countries ratifying or giving provisional ratification to the Constitution for the Federation of Earth, and making a subscription to WEDO equal to at least 25% of their last military budgets, or 2% of GNP, to serve terms of 3 years.
- 6 Members of the Board are named by the agencies of the Integrative Complex, and in particular by the World Financial Administration, when formed, to serve terms of 5 years.
Subscribers Council:
Each country ratifying or giving provisional ratification to the Constitution for the Federation of Earth, and making a subscription to WEDO equal to at least 25% of its military budget or 2% of its GNP, or more, names a Member to the Subscribers Council.
